July

July is always such a busy month for us. . . reunions, 4th of July, 24th celebration, campouts, family, friends, etc. . . .so I felt it deserved a post of its own.

The fourth of July was alright. Marc had to work that weekend, so Finn and I were sort of on our own, and since I am technically not supposed to lift anything (including Finn) it made things a little difficult! But we managed. We went over to St. Johns for the BBQ and races. I got to see lots of friends that I hadn't seen in a while which was really nice! Finn was able to be in the races - sort of last minute - he was still coming up to the line when the guy said go, but he came in second - WAY TO GO FINN!!! We won't tell you that it was only Finn with one other little kid! Anyway, second is second, no matter how many people were in the race! He won his first 50 cent piece...I was so proud!!! After the races we went and stood in line for a good 20 min to get a snowcone (they are the best)!! Finally, we get ours and while we are walking away I am trying to give Finn a bite, but he was throwing some fit, which he then knocks it over...ALL OVER ME...and my white shirt! It was just lovely! That was pretty much the extent of that part of the 4th. That night Marc was still working, so I went to Snowflake to watch Jeff and Greg play in the softball tournement. After the last game, Finn and I headed home. I was able to watch the fireworks on the way home, but Finn was OUT the second he landed in his carseat! I tried to wake him up when I pulled over on the side of the road so he could watch, but he wouldn't budge!! We missed Marc that day, but overall it was a good 4th! We are so thankful for our freedom!!!

SO...the question is still lingering...are we having twins? I found out on July 7th that................we are...................NOT having twins. And although parts of having twins would be kind of cool, I am so thankful it's just one!! One is plenty!! We are just thankful we are having at LEAST one! That was pretty exciting to finally find out for sure though!!

The 11th, 12th, and 13th was our Lindsey reunion...we were not able to go, but my parents took Finn for us. They all said they had a blast. We really wish we could have been there. We have been dying to go camping!!! Plus they ate Navajo tacos....one of our favorite!!!

On the 14th of July, Jeff and Lindsey had to take their little 3 month old Jaclyn Reese to the Phoenix Children's Hospital to be treated for Biliary Atresia. She basically had no duct from the liver to the gall bladder, so they had to do surgery to build the duct, and when they went in they saw that she had no gall bladder at all. Poor little baby. After the surgery she was major swollen, but now she is looking really, really good. She is still on the list for a liver transplant, so she still has a lot to go through, but she has more than proven she is a strong little baby and she is handling everything so well! As for her parents, they are pretty strong too. I can't image what they are going through in this trial, but I admire their strength so much! They are examples to all of us! We love you guys!!! (you can see lots of pictures on their blog.)

The 18th and 19th were spent out at Thunder Raceway watching the MONSTER truck event! It was really cool to watch. Finn loved it!!! It is amazing those trucks can jump as high as they can for as big as they are!! They also did MUD BOGGING with some of the local people using their own vehicles....I can't believe some of the ones that entered. There were only a select few that made it through, and their trucks/dunebuggies were obviously made for stuff like that. I'd say the mud was at least 2 to 3 feet deep in some places. Even trucks with 4-wheel drive weren't able to make it through!!

On the 19th, we lost our camera out there. I really thought someone took it because there was this one party that showed up later that night, that had the box next to ours. They were all so loud and crowding...I really don't think they even watched the event!! But the next day we got a call from the raceway telling us someone had turned our camera in!! We were soooooooooooo relieved!!!

Our next celebration this month was the 24th in St. Johns. We made it over Thursday for the ice cream social, where we again saw lots of old friends!! We only ate one ice cream though...I remember as a kid going through like every line...guess we sort of have figures to watch now though!!

Friday and Saturday we went to the rodeo which didn't seem to have very many participants this year....maybe it's just me though. Plus it was way too hot to sit through it all. Saturday we went to the parade, where we accumulated a ton of candy!! Friday night we went out to the campfire circle just to walk around, but only made it a quarter of the way around before people started leaving! We didn't go to the dances either night because at this point I'm still technically not supposed to be doing much, so we went and played games at the Hammonds! It was a lot of fun! I do think we're getting too old though...we used to be able to go til 3 - 4 in the morning and now we barely make it to 1!!

Here are Marc and Finn getting soaked from the fire truck at the parade on Saturday!
Aren't they so cute when they're soaked?!?!?!

One of the most exciting things that happened this July, was on the 31st!! I was finally able to stop taking my shots (for invetro) that I had been taking every night since June 4th!! They are the worst, but I took it! I would say the needle is about 2 to 2 1/2 inches long! As of today I am still bruised and swollen from those shots!!! AGAIN, all completely worth it!!!!!

I'm BACK

So FINALLY I am back!!! I know the last time i posted was back in March...I think!! But anyway, I guess that just means I have a lot to update...so here GOES!!

March - Nothing but work!!! How sad...I know!

April - The major event this month was Marc's birthday!! Oh...I'm the coolest wife ever!!! I sent my 31 year old husband on a scavenger hunt! As you can imagine he loved that...(SARCASM)! So you know, all this was to sort of get things ready for the date I had planned to take him on that night! FIRST, I sent him to our office to get his first clue and gift. The clues I can't tell (I forgot and I'm too lazy to look them up) but the first gift was two movie tickets. SECOND, I sent him to the Bodyworks Salon to get his hair cut (trust me, he needed it!) THIRD, he went to a friend of ours' house to pick up 3 different outfits of clothes (mostly needed for work). FOURTH, the clue told Marc to come pick me up and I had the last clue and present for him (and NO, it's not that for all you dirty thinkers!) it was a cool pair of shoes!! So he changed into his new clothes, shoes, sprotin' the new haircut, with movie tickets in pocket and then...........we went to eat at KABUKI's. Kabuki's is the only Japanese restaurant here in Show Low, and Marc says it is the most authentic! So we went and ate at the grill where they cooked all the food in front of us!!! It was awesome! FINALLY, we went to the movie! I think overall he had a pretty good birthday! I know I sure had fun!!!

Around the 21st, city league SOFTBALL started! GOOOOOOOOOO Construction STATION!!
We think we're gonna be pretty decent.....

May - The beginning of summer. It even snowed this month!! I know...crazy! But we were so excited summer was here because finally we could take FINN to the park, pool, OUTSIDE!! He loves the park!! After the second or thrid trip he was going up the stairs, across the bridge, and down the slide...ALL BY HIMSELF!! He is fearless...it's actually a little scary sometimes, but it's also nice that he's not afraid of everything either

SOFTBALL continues....we're climbing to the top!! At this point we are concluding that we are pretty dang good!!!

June - This was a huge month for Marc and I. We were finally able to do invetro again. For some reason the second time seemed like a lot more than the first time around, but again totally worth it! My transfer of 2 EMBRYO'S was on the 9th (which meant the end of softball season for me) I found out on the 20th that I was pregnant, but wasn't sure with how many yet!! My stomach was in knots...Marc was just constantly beaming...at this point he is so sure we are having twins!!

Softball continues WITHOUT me...but they did really, really good. We played in the tournement and took 1st PLACE. We took 2nd in the entire league (by mistake...they got our stats wrong...believe whatever you want, but they really got it wrong!!!) This picture was taken at the end of the tournement by the White Mountain Independent. We - are - the - CHAMPIONS!!! Marc was on our team, but he had been in the valley during the championship game...

AIDEN FINN KENNEDY

As many of you know, 2007 was quite a year for us!! After several years, on January 28th, 2007, we finally welcomed Aiden Finn Kennedy, who we call "FINN", into our world! He is just our little miracle. He makes us laugh all the time. He loves me most!! J/K Well I really thought he used to actually, but that is turning around really quickly...he only says "daddy"...he's always looking out the window to see if Marc is home, and when he gets here, he just laughs and points at Marc yelling "DADDY". It's only "mommmm" when he's hurt or sad. He is definately all Marc though (even the impatient part of his personality), but he is just so so so so cute!!!! We are so glad he's here with us though, he brings so much happiness to our lives!!!

Welcome to the blogging world!!!

Hey everyone, we'd like to welcome ourselves to the blogging world!! It's about time I know, but honestly I just don't know what to say! We love reading everyone else's though, and most of all we like to see the pictures. It's so cool to see those blogs of people we haven't seen forever, and also to stay updated on family & friends! Anyway, glad to be here!!
